Hikking
Hiking is an activity to walk long distances with terrain that is still easily traversed. Usually, hiking is included in one of the activities for Boy Scouts. Do you remember when you were a Scout member from elementary to high school and there was a schedule for hiking? The roads during hiking are still pleasant to pass so they are not so exhausting.
Hiking trails have been prepared, from trails to narrow alleys. The path is official and is already used for hiking activities and there are even points for rest.
Travel time of hiking activities is more monitored. Because usually hiking is done by a group, hiking has a timetable. It can be completed in a few hours and usually takes a day at most. This is because hiking has a path that is easy to pass and aims for recreation.
However, hiking for nature lovers is not just an easy recreation, such as hiking activities by school Scouts. Aiming just to do a hobby or even relieve stress, hiking has its own sensation when carried out. Located in the open which is still so cool, hiking, of course, must be done with good physical preparation.
Abstinence when hiking is not leaving a trail that can hurt the environment, for example; Don’t drive nails into trees or anything. In addition, if you plan to do outdoor activities, you also need to remember not to leave items that cannot be decomposed in a short time, such as plastic. It is mandatory by law, the waste is brought and disposed of in the proper place.

River Rafting
An adventure is an exciting or unusual experience. It may also be a bold, usually risky undertaking, with an uncertain outcome. Adventures may be activities with some potential for physical danger such as traveling, exploring, skydiving, mountain climbing, scuba diving, river rafting or participating in extreme sports.
Rafting or white water rafting is a very challenging activity to navigate river rapids. Rafting is included in the category of water sports. Rafting has a fairly long history since the 19th century which was pioneered by John Macgregor, a scout from Uncle Sam (America) who at that time led an expedition on the Colorado river. Developments over time brought white water rafting to Indonesia and it has grown to this day.
There are several rafting terms that you must understand if you are just entering or trying rafting. Here are some of them:
1. Put In
The starting point for placing the boat is also the starting point for rafting the river.
2. Take out (end point)
The end point or finish of the rafting activity. Usually at this point there is already a team that picks up participants to be escorted to the starting point of the rafting.
3. Swimmer
Rafting participants who fell or were thrown into the river. It is possible that everyone who has ever rafted is a swimmer, because the majority of participants will definitely be thrown into the river.
4. Strainers
The flow of the river is blocked by falling stones or fallen trees so that it cannot flow. Can also clamp the boat you are riding. So be careful.
5. Skipper
The person who gives instructions as well as a companion during rafting. He is the one who guides the rafters, when to row faster, when to turn, or when to stop rowing. Skippers usually have to really understand rafting techniques and understand the principles of first aid.
6. New Yorkers
The name for rafting participants who like to complain. So, are you a New Yorker?
7. Waterfall
It can mean a waterfall, in the form of a derivative in the body of a river. Usually has a height of not less than 2 meters.
8. Wrap
The condition of the boat or boat being pinched by large rocks or other obstacles. If the boat is difficult to get out of this trap, you can deflate the boat first.
9. Tongue
The current flows calmly, usually in a V shape and is at the head of the rapids.
10. Throw Bag
Ropes of varying lengths are used for rescue if a participant falls from the boat. This rope is used by throwing it at the fallen rafting participant.
11. Standing Waves
Big waves in rivers that are used as main streams.
12. Rooster Tail
Water that spurts or gushes from below, this is usually because there are rocks or other obstacles in the river.
13. Undercut
A cliff or large rock that is on the side of a river and has a stream of water at the bottom. The whirlpool in this undercut is not too strong on the surface, but at the bottom the current is very strong and rolls down. This is something very dangerous, so be careful when the instructor shouts undercut.
14. Rocks
River ornaments in the form of rocks that protrude to the surface of the water. These rocks cause changes in water flow and make the river has rapids.
15. Carnage
The position of the boat that was overturned, either because it was hit by heavy rapids or was deliberately reversed by the instructor.
